Summary

Description A S2F-1 Tracker of the Royal Canadian Navy in 1956/57. Some controversy exist about the identity of aircraft "X 500", which was most probably a Grumman supplied S2F-1, U.S. Navy bureau number 136519, later to be rebuilt by De Havilland Canada as the CS2F-2 prototype. This aircraft was delivered to the Shearwater Aviation Museum in 1972. Canadian Trackers also flew from the Canadian anti-submarine aircraft carrier HMCS Bonaventure (CVL-22).
