English: Rushton station, Rushton Spencer, North Staffs One the most attractive lines to be closed to passengers in the 1960s was the former North Staffordshire Railway's line from Uttoxeter to Macclesfield along the Churnet Valley. North of Leek it ran alongside Rudyard Lake before reaching the village of Rushton Spencer where the station is now a private residence.
