English: Roystonhill Spire. See 691527 and 691535 for more information on the spire. The photograph was taken from the area just to the south of the spire; there was an inscription there:
"On the 28th of July 2001, messages collected from the people of Royston
were transmitted from this spot into space. In space, the messages will carry on forever, while a radio-receiver within Royston Spire awaits a response. On receiving a signal, a red light will flash from the Spire across Royston and let people know."
