Engraving from a drawing by Sir Henry Charles Englefield Bt. and published in Archaeologia. Sir Henry Charles Englefield Bt. (1782). Additions to Mr King’s account of Lincoln Castle .(Read May 16, 1782). Archaeologia, Vol 6, pp. 376-380. The blocked gateway was surveyed by Englefield and Precentor Gordon of Lincoln Cathedral.
