Description
English: A fragment of a handmade coarseware ceramic vessel of Roman date, circa AD43 - 410. The fragment is a body sherd from a large vessel. The fabric is dark blackish-grey in colour with a soft and gritty texture. Abundant calcite inclusions are present within the fabric. Possible Huntcliff Ware, manufactured in East Yorkshire and common across the north of England.

The fragment is 45.1mm long, 43.9mm wide, 9.3mm thick and weighs 23.2g.
