English: The Riggs-Thomson House was a private home built by Joseph and Octabia Bryan in Silver Spring, Maryland. It was also the property of George Washington Riggs and the Thompson family from which it receives its name. In 1933 the Sisters of the Holy Names purchased the land and the house was used as St. Michael's Elementary School until 1936. At that time it became the Academy of the Holy Names, a Catholic girls high school. It was operated by the sisters from 1936-1988. After which it became the Chelsea School from 1988 - 2012. The property is being redeveloped for townhouses as of 2013. It is listed in the Maryland Inventory of Historic Properties.
