DescriptionRichmond District Lunatic Asylum (Grangegorman Mental Hospital, St. Brendan's Psychiatric Hospital) Grangegorman, Dublin 7, Ireland.jpg
English: Photograph of the south wing, which is the only remaining wing, of the Richmond Lunatic Asylum, Grangegorman, Dublin 7. Built 1815. Also known as the Richmond District Lunatic Asylum, Grangegorman Mental Hospital and St. Brendan's (Psychiatric) Hospital. This is the original building now, obviously, no longer in use. Also known as the lower house and the female house. It lies on the eastern side of Lower Grangegorman Road. The ground in front of the asylum is the school yard of a recently opened "Educate Together School" (a non-denominational primary school).
