| Description | Restoration, hand binding of a 'Geneva' Bible, 1603, bound in the style of the Royal Binder of Elizabeth I. Full restoration to the pages, repairing page tears, removing ink stains, re-placing missing text and re-sewn in the style of the period. Re-bound in materials and hand gilt sympathetic to the original by Paul Tronson a Master Book Binder who specializes in traditional bookbinding and book restoration in the ancient styles of the great masters, with materials that cannot be bought but are hand made using their exacting technique and formulae. |
