On this day, Marikina has joined the list of government units to pass an Anti-Discrimination ordinance. Marikina mayor Marcelino "Marcy" Teodoro announced the enactment of City Ordinance No. 065 to ensure and protect the rights of the member of the lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders. queers and other sectors (LGBTQIA+).
