English: Sailors and Royal Marines practice the method known as rapid roping from a Lynx helicopter to the deck of HMS Bulwark during the Taurus 09 deployment.

Rapid roping is used to quickly deploy troops onto hazardous platforms, for example another vessel, so that a search can be conducted for drugs or other illegal trade.
