Description
English: Digitally altered depiction of the RMS Queen Elizabeth, based on a free-use photo of the RMS Queen Mary (en:Image:RMS Queen Mary Long Beach.jpg). Because the RMS Queen Elizabeth was a sister ship, and shared essentially the same design, the RMS Queen Mary photo could be altered to resemble the RMS Queen Elizabeth, its larger sister. Changes are:
  1. Removal of Long Beach dock area and surrounds.
  2. Alteration of forward hull; change rake of bow to greater angle of QE; remove well deck.
  3. Alteration of forward superstructure; revised forward window arrangement, alter flying bridge.
  4. Removal of older-style ventilator ducts which the QM had, QE did not.
  5. Replacement of funnel trio with dual funnels.
  6. Adjust length of superstructure/hull sections.
  7. Rotate photo and render in grayscale.
  8. Additional adjustments.
This change was made based on textual descriptions and other information publicly available about the differences between the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary. See en:Image:RMS Aquitania Mural.png for a related modification.
