DescriptionQueensferry Blue Bridge and Old Bridge Abutment looking North - geograph.org.uk - 410700.jpg
English: Queensferry Blue Bridge and Old Bridge Abutment looking North. This view is the opposite to 409932. The blue bascule type bridge was built in 1926, and it replaced the earlier bridge, which was supported on the massive stone abutments seen to the side. The two central sections of this bridge were designed to roll back and lift in the centre, but they are no longer able to operate. The River Dee is at low tide in this photo.
