English: Psilocarphus elatior, meadow woollyheads, example plant of a population found along gravel road in southeast Alaska. This plant is very abundant in drying areas along this gravel road system. The species is probably not indigenous here, but brought in by logging in the 1970s. Although non-native, it does not seem to be spreading into local forest or muskeg, but confined to the disturbed habitat of the roadbed and road margin.
