Summary

Description
English: Holotype partial skull (IVPP V3233) of Prolacertoides jimusarensis in (A) dorsal; (B) ventral; (C) right lateral; and (D) left lateral views, and close up of right anterior maxillary tooth crowns. Numbers indicate character-states scored in the data matrix and the arrows indicate anterior direction. Abbreviations: bs, basisphenoid; ect, ectopterygoid; ju, jugal; la, lacrimal; lmtr, left maxillary tooth row; lprf, left prefrontal; mx, maxilla; na, nasal; pl-pt, palatine-pterygoid; rmtr, right maxillary tooth row; rprf, right prefrontal. Scale bars equal 5 mm, and 0.5 mm in the close up.

Character state scores=

  • 109-1: The presence of a subtriangular medial process of the prefrontal, creating a strongly transversely compressed nasal-frontal suture.
  • 207-0: An ectopterygoid without a posterior extension contacting the jugal.
