English: Priory Gatehouse, Bromfield. Dating from the 12th century with a 17th upper storey, this was the gatehouse to the Benedictine Priory here, up to the dissolution. The tower of the church of St Mary the Virgin, originally the Priory church (see 703333), can be seen over the wall.
