Pragmulji III is last in the line of rulers of the Princely State of Kutch. He currently resides with his wife at Vijay Vilas Palace in Mandvi, after his palace in Bhuj, Ranjit Vilas, suffered damage as a result of the earthquake on 26 January 2001.
He is currently an advisor to many senior government figures and continues to maintain various landmarks for public benefit, notably the private beach at Vijay Vilas and an orchard that houses a temple to Lord Shiva, which is commonly referred to by Kutchis as "Bhung".
In his youth, he was a keen hunter and his first ever catch at the age of 12 is on display in the ground floor entrance hall of Vijay Vilas, along with a photo of a very proud young hunter and his gun.
Pragmulji III spends the majority of his time at Vijay Vilas with occasional trips to Mumbai for business or leisure purposes.
