Summary

Description
English: Along the diagonal are two rectangles with aspect ratio ρ2. Opposite the diagonal are rectangles with aspect ratios ρ (above) and ρ3 (below), with ρ the real solution of cubic equation x3 = x + 1. The point where the nested rectangles converge is important in the theory of cubic Lagrange interpolation.
