Hōʻawa or Kona cheesewood Pittosporaceae Endemic to the Hawaiian Islands Oʻahu (Cultivated)

The early Hawaiians used the wood to make gunwales for canoes. The outer layer of the fruit valves were used medicinally. They were pounded and used externally on sores.
