Description
English: The entombment shows Joseph of Arimatea and Nicodemus carrying the body of Jesus, accompanied by Saint John and several women. One of these women is the Virgin Mary in the dark blue clothes. The woman in green clothes is Mary Magdalene and she was modelled by Isabella Brant, Rubens' first wife.

English: The painting was bought by Canon Sébastien Briquet and donated to the Capuchins of Cameroon in 1616 for the church of Saint-Aubert, now Saint-Géry.
