Description
English: The Peoria Underpass as seen from the railroad tracks above. The bridge is located in the intersection of Grand and Olive Aves. It was built c. 1930 and serves the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad system. The bridge is listed in the Arizona Historic Bridge Inventory Number: 0160. According to the Arizona Historic Bridge Inventory the underpass is eligible to be listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It is a well-preserved example of ASHD architectural treatment for an urban grade separation.
