DescriptionPeople's Trust Company Building rear Pierrepont Street crest.jpg
The crest over the rear on Pierrepont Street of the People's Trust Company Building at 183 Montague Street between Clinton Street and Cadman Plaza West (Court Street) in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. It was built in 1903 and designed by Mowbray & Uffinger in the Classical-Beaux Arts style, in imitation of a Roman temple. The Art Deco rear addition on Pierrepont Street dates from 1929 and was designed by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon. The People's Trust was founded in 1889 and was a precursor to Citibank.
