Description
English: Experimentallokomotive 2512, Achsfolge 4-4-2, Vierzylinder-Verbundlokomotive nach System De Glehn. Sociéte des ateliérs de construction mecanique (SACM) Belfort No. 5438, Baujahr 1904. Nach dem Erfolg der De Glehn Verbundloks in Frankreich kaufte die PRR eine solche Lok, um festzustellen, was sie für ihren eigenen Lokbau daraus lernen könnten. Die Lok lief bei allen Geschwindigkeiten sehr ruhig,war aber für die Bedürfnisse der PRR zu leicht und wurde daher nur selten im Zugdienst eingesetzt. Die Lok wurde bereits 1912 ausrangiert und verschrottet. Das Bild zeigt die Lok noch ohne die typisch amerikanischen Zutaten wie Kuhfänger und grosser Scheinwerfer. Deshalb mit sehr hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit Werkaufnahme SACM Belfort. Datierung somit 1904
