La Basílica del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, está ubicada frente al parque Libertad y dentro del centenario colegio San Felipe Neri, en la ciudad de Riobamba. Su construcción comenzó en 1883 y fue consagrada al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús el 9 de junio de 1915, duro 32 años en ser terminada. En el altar principal se encuentra la imagen del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, que esta coronada por una armónica y bella cúpula.
