Description
English: The eroded shield volcano of Pago at Pago Pago Harbor on Tutuila Island, American Samoa. The mountain summit (Matafao Peak) and upper slopes are a volcanic plug of trachyte (about 1.02 million years old). The lower slopes are volcanic breccia of the Pago Volcanics (about 1.18 million years old). Reference: McDougall, I.
