English: Outhouse at Choppards Church,(properly Choppard's Mission Rooms) Wooldale It could be a coalhouse, but I suspect it was the ladies and gents. The openings next to the road would be for removing the 'night soil'. There is an opening between ground and first floors, with a vertical slab of stone that could be the front of a seat, but no sign of the latter. |
