English: This image shows exposures of the Osha Canyon Formation near its type section at Guadelupe Box, New Mexico, USA. This is an earliest Pennsylvanian (Bashkirian) formation that is mostly thinly bedded fossiliferous limestone and shale. It is exposed only in the southwestern Jemez Mountains and Sierra Nacimiento. |
