This is an Olea Davis Canadian bowl now located within the UBC Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver, Canada, where its museum catalogue number is 2875/35. It was donated to the Museum of Anthropology in April 2011 and this bowl measures 17 cm by 3 cm. Olea Davis (1899-1977) was a leading figure of British Columbia pottery and is well known for her involvement in the ceramic programs held at UBC in the 1950's and 1960's. She co-founded the Pottery Guild of BC in 1955, an organization which supports BC's ceramic artists today.
