DescriptionOld Spokane City Hall, Wall Street and Spokane Falls Boulevard, Spokane, WA (53791356398).jpg
Built in 1912, this Renaissance Revival-style building was designed by Julius Zittle to serve as the City Hall of Spokane, Washington. The building was intended to only serve in this capacity temporarily, but ended up serving as a city hall until 1982, when the city government moved to the old Montgomery Ward Department Store across Spokane Falls Boulevard. The building features a red brick exterior with stone trim, a stone base, pilasters with decorative capitals, one-over-one double-hung windows, a stone trim surround at the main entrance bay, cornices with dentils and acroterions, and rusticated red brick cladding at the first floor. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The building today serves as an office building attached to the adjacent River Park Square.
