English: Off Malpas Road. The photograph is looking in a north north-easterly direction along a short loop off Malpas Road.
Beyond the houses and trees are Brompton Ponds, which were two of the three mill ponds in the village.
The white structure on the left is a (derelict) village pump.
The first building here is Keeper's Cottage, then Brooke Cottage, Malpas Cottage (set back and not visible) and finally part of Low Hall Farm.
All these buildings are private.
It is possible to make out a shadowed area between Low Hall Farm and a small group of trees to the right. This shadowed area marks the start of a 428760 that connects with 426845 near All Saints Church 426872.
Between Brooke and Malpas cottages the loop turns sharp right and crosses over the a drain (the wooden handrails of which can just be discerned) and the beck by two bridges.
The drain takes water from the beck along the northern edge of Malpas Road to a 427836.
