Summary

Description
English: This Union Pacific rail line passes over the VTA trench along North 1st Street in San José, California, USA. This rail line is the raison d'être for the trench. The apartment buildings on the left were built upon the site of the Southern Pacific's Market Street Station (which was torn down in 1935 to make way for what would become known as Diridon Station).
