English: Nappa Hall,Askrigg, Wensleydale Nappa Hall was built 1450-1459 and is one of the few castellated houses left in Yorkshire. Being fortified, it had some protection from raiders from further north and Scotland. The Nappa Estate was given to James Metcalfe by Sir Richard Scrope of Bolton Castle, under whom he had fought at the Battle of Agincourt in 1415.
