Summary

Description
Polski: Galaktyki: NGC 3448 (pośrodku) i UGC 6016 (na górze po prawej). Zdjęcie wykonane przez teleskopy: Spitzera i GALEX.

Kolor niebieski - młode gwiazdy widoczne w zakresie dalekiego UV (GALEX). Kolor czerwony - ogrzany pył, średni IR (Spitzer)

Kolor zielony - emisja gwiezdna, bliski IR (Spitzer)
English: Three-color image of NGC 3448 (left) and its companion UGC 6016 (right) showing far-UV emission from young stars observed by GALEX in blue, heated dust mid-infrared emission observed by Spitzer in red, and stellar near-infrared emission observed by Spitzer in green. This pair of galaxies is only separated by 75,000 light-years, and its UV emission shows a bridge of material between the two galaxies.

Photo taken by Spitzer and GALEX telescopes.

Blue - young stars visible in far UV (GALEX) Red - heated dust, mid-IR (Spitzer)

Green - stellar emission in near-IR (Spitzer)
