Description

Die Baureihe A ist die älteste Baureihe bei der Münchner U-Bahn. Diese Fahrzeuge, die ab 1970 serienmäßig geliefert wurden, kommen außerhalb der bayerischen Landeshauptstadt in leicht veränderter Version auch in Nürnberg und mit einem deutlich an das Wiener Tunnelprofil angepassten Wagenkasten bei der Wiener U-Bahn zum Einsatz. Mittlerweile ist es wegen Anpassungen an die örtlichen Gegebenheiten jedoch nicht mehr möglich, die Fahrzeuge miteinander gekuppelt im Fahrgastbetrieb einzusetzen.
