Summary

Description
English: Camping as part of mountaineering; this Mt. Forbes W:Alberta bivy site at the toe of the Forbes' North Glacier put us within a day's climb of the summit (and return to the bivy site). There are no campgrounds here, and depending on the country, none in many mountaineering situations. So in Canada, for example, other than a minimal annual fee for all national parks, mountaineering can be free of camping or related fees. There are, however, ACC huts in some locations that a user can choose to stay in, for a cost.
