Retrato de su esposa Domenica Festa (1805/7- 1881), hija menor del pintor Felice Festa (n. 1763/4), acuarelista y pintora miniaturista que expuso en los Salones de París; en Francia era conocida como Dominique Monvoisin o simplemente Madame Monvoisin. El pintor bordelés la conoció en Roma, donde estaba becado, y se casaron en la iglesia de San Luis de los Franceses el cinco de marzo de 1825, al final de la estadía de Monvoisin en la Ciudad Eterna. Tuvieron una hija, Blanche (Bianca, Blanca), pero el matrimonio sufrió por desaveniencias y Festa no lo acompañó a sus viajes por América del Sur. |
