Summary

Description Photo of the large swampy lake area on Mitiaro in the Southern Cook Islands, taken in December 1988. Its the only area like this of this size in the Cooks. The reed beds consist of the introduced plant Cladium jamaicense. The largest lake is called Te Rotonui.
