In addition, from the contents of the text, it appears to have been a vanity publishing house, where subjects paid to have their biographies written up, so that the primary economic purpose is long past.
Other information	The subject of the photograph has been deceased since: 1945 The source (openlibrary.org) appears to have an incorrect, pre-1923 publication date. Rather than rely on this, I've used what appears to be a more correct, 1931, publication/copyright date.
