Description
English: General Sir Arthur Augustus Thurlow Cunynghame GCB. Col. Commandant of the King's Royal Rifles.

Youngest son of Sir David Cunynghame 5th Bart, of Milncraig Ayrshire, Born 2 August 1812. Died 13 March 1883 Entered the Army in 1830 Was in active service in China, the Crimea and the Cape of Good Hope. He was made KCB in 1869 and GCB in 1878

In 1845 he married the Hon Frances, eldest daughter of Field Marshall Viscount Hardinge, by whom he leaves two sons and two daughters.
