Description
Dansk: Mejlborg i Århus
English: Mejlborg is the name of this large red-brick housing block in Århus. It was built in the years 1896-98 and was reconstructed from the ground up, after a devastating fire in 1899, almost as a replicate. Sophus Frederik Kühnel was architect on both the building and the reconstruction. It is built as luxury apartments for the wealthy bourgeoisie, but have a history of also housing restaurants, a hotel and other enterprises.
