English: Example of a simple Mealy machine with one entry and one exit. The entry values are indicated in red, and the port values are indicated in blue. The machine starts in Si mode. The port value is the output of the last two entry values; therefore, this machine actually implements an edge detector. The machine emits one when the input value is reversed, or it emits zero.
