Description
English: Item taken from the regular column, "Ladies' Letter", written by "Minetta", at page 92 of the (Melbourne) Punch of Thursday 20 July 1905. The American actress, Maud Evelyn Craven Jeffries (1869-1946) married James Bunbury Nott Osborne (1878-1934), a wealthy Australian grazier in 1904. She left the stage in 1906, and spent the rest of her life, in Australia, on the family property near Gundaroo, New South Wales.
