DescriptionMartin Firrell Still Revolting public art (with Peter Tatchell) Digital Billboards, UK 2019.jpg
English: Still Revolting is a series of public artworks presented on digital billboards in the UK on 13th October 2020 to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Gay Liberation Front in the UK. The text 'Homosexuals Are Still Revolting' is based on a placard created by human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell for Gay Pride in London in 1973. The original placard read 'Homosexuals Are Revolting'. The artist's addition of the word 'still' reflects the truth that homosexuality is still regarded as intolerable by some and many LGBT+ people around the world are still struggling for acceptance, security and equality.
