English: Map was started with the help of openstreemaps, from which the contours of major notable structures, streets, and neighbourhood divisions were copied. The rest has been drawn in.
Names and locations of gates have been added according to the description found in: Deverdun, Gaston (1959). "Marrakech: Des origines à 1912". See pages 482-503 in particular, which focus on the southern palace areas; other pieces of information can be found elsewhere, see also the main Wikipedia page (Walls of Marrakesh) for further details, as the same sources there have been used here. |
