| Description |
English: A Marlin 39A lever action .22LR rifle. This example dates from 1944 and does not have the safety switch or golden trigger seen on the current Golden 39A. The rifle is designed to split into two sections to allow the barrel to be cleaned from the breech end. One needs only loosen a knurled screw and pull back slightly on the hammer to remove the action from the barrel. The small piece at the bottom left is the bolt, containing the firing pin. |
