中文(繁體):明朝官修《大明一統志》卷一的全國地圖。圖中明朝各省字體與「外夷」(包括女直朝鮮、日本、琉球等)不同,西藏稱為「西蕃」。該書卷八十九將西蕃列為「外夷」,說:「西蕃即吐蕃也,其先本羌屬,凡百餘種,散處河湟江岷間。...元憲宗始於河州置吐蕃宣慰司都元帥府。」
