English: Manung Kangjeibung is the Polo Ground of the Meitei royalties, located inside the Kangla fort in Imphal, the capital city of Kangleipak (Manipur). It was developed for the first time during the time of King Ningthou Kangba (1405 BC – 1359 BC) and later re-developed during the reign of King Ningthou Marjit Singh (1813 AD – 1819 AD). In Meitei language (Manipuri language), "Manung" means "inner" and "Kangjeibung" means "polo ground". Presently, this historic polo ground is also serving as a helipad.
