Kurze Chronologie:

  • 16. Okt. 1963: Panzerbataillone 363 und 364 (PzBtl 363, 364) in Böblingen, Fliegerhorstkaserne aufgestellt aus Teilen des aufgelösten PzBtl 273, ausgerüstet mit KPz (US) M47 Patton.
  • 1. Juli 1964 - Einmarsch in Külsheim am 6. Juli 1964: PzBtl 363 verlegt mit KPz M47 Patton, MTW M113 und KrKw Hotchkiss von Böblingen nach Külsheim.

Einführung KPz-Folgegenerationen:

  • 1968: KPz (US) M48 A2C "Patton II".
  • 1978: M48 A2GA2 (u.a. Einbau der 105-mm-Kanone L7 des Kpz Leopard 1).
  • 1984-85: KPz (DE) Leopard 2 A2 u/o A3.

30. Juni 2002: Auflösung des PzBtl 364.
Patenschaftsgemeinden: Dem Lkr. Miltenberg (Unterfranken, Bayern) zugehörige Gemeinden Amorbach, Markt Kirchzell, Miltenberg und Kleinheubach.

Brief chronology:

  • Oct. 16, 1963: Panzerbataillon 363 and 364 (PzBtl 363, 364) established in Böblingen, Fliegerhorstkaserne from parts of the disbanded PzBtl 273, equipped with KPz (Main battle tank) (US) M47 Patton.
  • July 1, 1964 - Entry into Külsheim on July 6, 1964: PzBtl 363 relocated with KPz M47 Patton, MTW M113 and KrKw Hotchkiss from Böblingen to Külsheim.

Introduction of KPz (Main battle tank) Following generations:

  • 1968: KPz (US) M48 A2C "Patton II".
  • 1978: M48 A2GA2 (including installation of the 105 mm L7 gun from the Kpz Leopard 1).
  • 1984-85: KPz (DE) Leopard 2 A2 a/o A3.

June 30, 2002: Disbandment of PzBtl 364.
Sponsoring communities: Municipalities of Amorbach, Markt Kirchzell, Miltenberg and Kleinheubach belonging to the district of Miltenberg (Lower Franconia, Bavaria).
