DescriptionLying-in hospital 305 Second Ave with detail.jpg
The building at 305 Second Avenue, Manhattan, New York City, now the "Rutherford Place" apartments, was formerly the Lying-in Hospital, built in 1902 to a design by R.H. Robertson. In the inset is a detail from the facade, one of the swaddled babies which decorate the spandrels. Converted to offices and apartments in 1985 by Beyer Blinder Belle.
