Este daguerrotipo no es según su familia de Lucio Mansilla sino de su primo hermano Leon Ortiz de Rozas, fue encontrada este daguerrotipo entre las pertenenciasde Mansilla. El Archivo General de la Nación aceptó el planteo familiar. Además, se debiera aclarar que pertenece al Museo Histórico Nacional, cuyo reciente catálogo de daguerrotipos consigna de que se trata de León Ortiz de Rozas, de gran parecido con Lucio V.
