Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) | Frank Habicht |
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) | Image itself is subject of discussion in the article |
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1) |
None of Habicht's 1960s work is going to be free until the copyright expires, and he's alive as of 2024, so... nope. |
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) | |
Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2) |
I mean, yeah the photo itself has commercial possibility, you can find Halbicht photos for sale here and there. But I deliberately used a Habicht photo on a book cover which has the text and all on it so as to make it as unusable for commercial use as possible. Doubt there's much commercial market for this particular image. |
Other information | It's fair use, as the image itself is the subject of exposition in the article, but the form no longer allows that purpose (probably a bug), but it's also a book cover so I clicked that (altho the article it is used in is not about the book per se) and it's possibly also a fair-use historical photograph. |
